Many online application portals, especially government forms, passport applications, and job boards require you to upload images under 100KB. Here is the ultimate step-by-step guide to achieving this:
Step 1: Choose the right tool
Using Fileora's custom target size compressor is the easiest way. Simply drag and drop your image, select the "Target size: 100KB" setting, and our engine automatically does the rest.
Step 2: Balance Quality and Resolution
If doing it manually, you need to resize the image dimensions. An image with 4000x3000 resolution can never be compressed to 100KB without looking extremely blurry. Downscale it to around 1200x900 first, then set JPEG compression quality to 70%.
